This delicious breakfast dish is a great way to get the protein and warmth of oatmeal with a hint of summer for those of you dreading the cold to come!
Boil 1/2 cup of water in a small pot
Add 1/3 cup rolled oats, stirring occasionally until the water has been absorbed.
Stir in 1/2 cup raspberries and mix until the oatmeal has taken on the colour (see picture)
Add 1/2-1 teaspoon of your favourite sweetener, such as brown sugar or agave
As you can see, I personally chose to top with 1/2 sliced banana, but you can use anything from blueberries to slices almonds – totally up to you!
I also add a splash of almond milk before serving (not pictured).
